Define

Emotional Journey Map

Making the emotional journey map helped me understand to understand what the most difficult parts of party planning are for users. This enabled me to hone my focus on improving those parts the most. For users, it's particularly unpleasant to try to manage steps with a lot of changing information, such as RSVPs and budgeting. Thus, these were very important to include in my design.

Storyboard

Drawing a storyboard helped me to visualize the problem I was trying to solve. I was able to better understand the user pain points and decide which app features would be most important to include.

User Personas

Creating user personas was a valuable part of my process and research. It helped me to better understand my target audience. Party planners are men and women of all ages and experience levels, so I wanted to make sure to include everyone in my design.

Ideation

User Flow

I made a user flow to help figure out the basics of what information would go on each page of the app.
